Publisher Accepting Self-Help and How- To Books for Middle Graders

Rainbow Books is an independent publisher offering a select group of fiction and nonfiction for children and adults. In children's books, interested in how-to, coping-skills and problemsolving books, and biographies for ages 8-12. Rainbow Books does not publish children's fiction, or picture book nonfiction. Manuscripts should be 15,000-30,000 words, including back matter (glossaries, further reading, etc.), be wellresearched, and carry an endorsement or foreword by a professional in the field if the author is not credentialed. Submit the entire manuscript or an outline and three sample chapters, along with a letter that describes how the author can help promote the book, and a biography.
