If your dream of writing children’s books needs a shot of adrenaline, this is the place to get it.
Because it’s a step-by-step program, CAB is great for beginners! No previous experience is needed to benefit from this workshop, and you’ll leave on Sunday with everything you need to know to write your masterpiece!
The Bootcamp changed my life. Linda and Laura are spectacular. They took me from a “wanna be…” to a bona fide children’s book illustrator and author, working under major publishers. I still use the literature and information from the Bootcamp on a weekly basis. My writer’s bookshelf would not be complete without the notes and books from their program. Laura and Linda continue to be amazingly supportive of my efforts. I count them as two of my most powerful colleagues in the business. It’s simple – Bootcamp works. I’m proud to be one of their students, and their friend.

J.H. Everett, co-author and illustrator of the upcoming series “Haunted Histories” from Henry Holt.

I returned last night from the Children’s Author’s Bootcamp in Charlotte, NC (April 23/24, 2010), and I am completely energized. The group of attendees, which number about 30, was wonderful…very friendly, communicative, sharing, and talented writers. And Laura and Linda were boundless resources wrt writing children’s books and getting your work to the right publishers. Everyone was incredibly encouraging, while being constructively honest. I have already teamed up with two other attendees to work on a middle-grade book, the idea for which evolved from an exercise initiated by Laura and Linda this past weekend.
This was my first workshop/conference, because it was the only one I’ve found that I can afford, and I thank Linda and Laura for this as well — they clearly arranged this ‘bootcamp’ with the wallet of the attending writers in mind. It was worth every penny and every minute of my time!
And should they do a CAB, part II, I will certainly want to attend.
Sincerely,
Melissa Rooney
Hi!
I missed the workshop last year, and with this year almost over, I was wondering if you will be coming to Denver again in 2012? I would love to attend if so!
Sincerely,
Tonya Lacy
