I hope you don't get rid of the videos. I like your voice overs on them too. I enjoyed the "How to Impress a Girl" post. I was surprised her son was only 7. I thought she was talking to a teenager.

Thanks Lee.

Personally, I'm a visual person and that's why I went the video route. I kind of like the idea of being able to peer over someone's shoulder while they're surfing and pointing out what they like. Also, the video is self-contained and embeddable anywhere. If I went with a podcast and matching jpegs, it would add more steps for bloggers wishing to use the information in their blogs.

That said, I am experimenting and trying to make it as useful as possible. For example, in response to a number of suggestions, today's edition introduced graphics with the blog's URL that run the length of the review. I'm also looking at video hosts that would potentially make those links clickable. So it's an evolving thing.....

Hi Jon,
I like these, how you're highlighting what recent kidlitopshere posts you really responded to, but I'm not sure I "get" what the video component is adding. Would you maybe increase the number of people who would follow these if you did audio-only podcasts (Like Mark and Andrea) and instead of the video, included still frame images of the blogs featured as linkable jpegs in your post?

Just a thought...

keep experimenting with it!
