Children’s Lit Blog Posts of the Day - November 13

November 13th, 2008 by Jon

Back again with a fresh set of posts.  And we have some history — our very first repeat blog!  Yes, wow-Women on Writing is just that good.  :)

Also, many thanks for the kind notes.  Laura and I are so glad that folks are enjoying these videos so much.  It’s really our pleasure to give such excellent blogs the exposure they deserve, and we’re grateful that so many of you have taken the time to let us know that you’re benefiting from our efforts.

Now, here’s the video:

    Dear Jon,
Thank you for featuring my post on your blog. The whole soapbox came out after I heard the wonderful Madeleine L’Engle tell her story about A WRINKLE ON TIME on her audio book. I appreciate you getting the message out there even more. Your videos are really cool!

    Hi Jon,

Your videos are true gems. I love the choices you’ve made here, and wow, we are honored to be mentioned again!!

Margo did a great job with that post. It is an important topic that says a couple things to me: parents should be able to decide what their children read, and they need to get involved. Book banning is a scary thing…if you think about many of the books that have been banned over time, some of them turn out to be the most important pieces of literature in our history.

I appreciate you recapping all the wonderful children’s blogs that are out there and turning me on to them. This is an invaluable resource. Keep up the great work!

    Angela
