A new and exciting little story-book:
"Dr Barr's Tales: Stories of Katharine" (PublishAmerica 2007)

Children will out-and-out thrill to it, parents and teachers will be glad their kids are reading it. The jacket is lovely. Based on a particularly fun and healthy psychology.

How to order this inexpensive little book:
[Editor: I think it can simply be ordered online, can it not? Whom should your reader “Search”? Amazon? Barnes & Noble? (They both have it.) The publisher itself, PublishAmerica? Or . . . Thanks!]

So many of the wonderful ideas you offered hit home and made me think of how my own (now adults) children behaved toward different things. It really jogged my thoughts and brought back some precious memories! Thank you.

Laura's June 12 article, full of keen observations and insights about what a year's difference can make in a child's interests and personality is fantastic!

As "Grandpa" to 30, half of them still in the infant to 15 age range, I have lots of opportunities to observe these phenomana when I'm not so "busy" with everything else. I need to focus more on those kiddos before they all grow up!

True enough. Of course, as Laura describes, you can always volunteer at a school -- help out a day a week in the library, say. That's a fun and rewarding way of learning about today's kids.
